My Services

Welcome to Worcestershire Children's Services.

Since Richard Hubbard's retirement at the end of 2008, Gail Quinton has been appointed to the post of Director of Children's Services and will be joining us on 23 March 2009.  In the interim period, Richard Keble has been appointed as Acting Director of Children's Services.

Children's Services are a Directorate within the County Council established under the Children Act (2004) to provide strategic leadership on partnership co-operation to improve the well-being of children and young people in Worcestershire against the five nationally adopted outcomes: that young people are healthy, safe, achieving, can make a positive contribution, and achieve economic well-being. The Directorate combines the previous Education Services with the children's social care element with what was Social Services. We are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of all our children and young people in the County.
