Rider Safety

Nothing has been written and talked about more than the dangers faced by Powered Two Wheeled (PTW) users.  PTW users are one of the smallest catergories of road users on our roads but have one of the highest death rates in relation to their numbers.  The reasons for this have been debated for many years but the main reasons are very obvious and none debated more than the following facts.

• Speed
• Safety
• The rider
• No steel shell surrounding the rider
• 2 wheels instead of 4+
• Other road users
• Weather
• Diesel and Oil spills
• Manholes and potholes
• The Motorbike design
• Training
• Skills
